Hi there! I'm Candice Elliott, a community-drive HR Strategist. I've been fascinated with the magic of business almost my whole adult life. I started my first successful business at 23. My degrees are in Anthropology & Philosophy (BA) and Human Resources and Labor Relations (MBA). And now, 15+ years of working with businesses later, I'm honored to help entrepreneurs like you create sustainable management systems based on your unique worldview.

So. . . Why HR Building Blocks you may be asking? Well, I got to a point in my business's growth where I couldn't take on any more one-on-one clients but still had lots of interest from folx who wanted a way to learn and grow their HR chops. These were mainly small business owners or new managers with limited resources and time. So I built this course for you! It's self paced, so you can go at your own speed when you have time. You can choose to do all the Building Blocks, or you can pick and choose which ones you want to learn most. There are lots of templates available that you can customize to your own needs, and I provide resources to build your own policies and procedures based on best practices.

In Attract Awesome People we do a deep dive into the world of recruiting. We go over ways to get the word out about your open positions, interview types, interview questions and interview style.

This building block includes some of the foundational elements you need when you start recruiting for open positions including a sample job ad, sample interview questions, and a simple applicant tracker to keep you organized.
